I use photography and watercolour painting as a means of expressing the beauty of the natural world I see around me. Gaining inspiration from nature, my art is a reflection of how the natural world works in all its diversity, contrast, colour, size, texture and form. My inspiration comes from the direct observation of the different elements of nature, such as the land, the sky and the sea.
My work ranges from traditional watercolour paintings to contemporary photographic images. The more ambiguous photographic images are not a direct representation of the natural world but instead capture the essence of nature; a unique world of contrasting layers, fragments and patterns.
My aim is for you, the viewer, to consider our connection with nature and contemplate on the abundance of riches that the natural world provides us with.
